Clinical Case - Peri Implantis

A patient who had received three implants felt sick following the implant treatment, and came to our clinic for an examination.

Through the 3D images, taken with the KODAK 9000 3D Extraoral Imaging System, we could see clearly the implants and their surroundings.

The pseudo panoramic viewer showed the relationship between the mandibular nerve and the three implants. The shortest distance between the implant and the mandibular canal was only 1.6mm. Moreover, there was bone loss around the implants.

Oblique slicing allowed us to see the objects from all the angles for better diagnosis, planning and treatment. With the help of the 3D images, we could plan better surgery strategy and deliver better patient satisfaction.
